Roasted Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp and Asparagus #Roasted #Lemon #Garlic #Butter #Shrimp #and #Asparagus Healthy Recipes For Weight Loss, One of the simplest yet, yet most satisfying meals has to be shrimp.  Its one of those quick and easy walk-in-the-door-last-minute-meals that you can make at any time with frozen shrimp.   And one of the simplest yet most satisfying flavor combinations to pair with shrimp has to be the dynamic trio of lemon, garlic and butter.  Shrimp looooves a good lemon garlic butter bath.   But instead of creating a sautéed lemon garlic shrimp recipe,  we are going to roast our Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp!
Have you ever roasted shrimp?  It is one of my favorite methods to produce perfectly even cooked shrimp and the hands-off method is foolproof and ridiculously easy.  More importantly, the spice infused oil has longer to permeate the shrimp (6-8 minutes) so as they transform into tender, fragrant, succulent morsels, they drink up the flavor and emerge hot, juicy and exploding with deliciousness.

Roasted Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp and Asparagus
THis was so delicious! I used Argentine shrimp, served with rice and bread. I’ve never sauteed asparagus before and it was perfectly cooked. Cant wait to make this again

  •     4 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  •     1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (use less if you don't like spice)
  •     2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  •     1/4 cup dry white wine
  •     4 large garlic cloves, finely minced
  •     1 pound asparagus, chopped into 1" pieces
  •     1 teaspoon salt (more to taste)
  •     1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (more to taste)
  •     1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
  •     1/2 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  •     1 pound fresh or frozen shrimp, patted dry 


  1. Heat butter in a large saute pan over medium heat until it's completely melted and just starts to brown.
  2. Add crushed red pepper flakes and garlic and saute for 1 minute, or until garlic is fragrant.
  3. Pour in the white wine, stir, and allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add in the asparagus and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp to the pan and continue to simmer until the shrimp is cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in the basil.
  6. Remove from heat. Taste and add more spices or lemon juice, as needed. Serve warm!
